Zara online today!

Can you believe it?  I've been waiting a long time for Zara to go live online so this is BIG.  Now we won't have to rifle and sift through the store's merch searching for something we saw online (unless we want to that is).   Did I mention that the last time I was in Zara the fire alarm went off and we were all evacuated?  Needless to say, glad that now I can shop in peace in the privacy of my own home and avoid all that- woo!

Hats Galore

Summer is very nearly here (horray!), and that means we'll be needing some good ol' hats to keep our heads from burning under the noonday sun. Everyone loves themselves a straw hat, from wide, floppy brims to crisp and neat fedoras, there are plenty to choose from. I'm coveting the John Lewis stripy, wide-brimmed hat.

hats galore

Who else is thrilled for the warm weather? I went fishing today and I sure could have done with one of these gorge hats to keep the sun off my face. Speaking of hats, who watched the royal wedding? There sure were some crowd-pleasingly awful hats, weren't there? There were even jokes made about one of the hats worn being a Chihuly

And after those photos, it might be a bit embarrassing to admit that I quite liked a lot of them. Good work Phillip Treacy!
Happy weekend!

Splendid Sandals in the Springtime

So as much as I love heels, my disastrous balance and horrendous klutziness means I'm primarily a good ol' flats girl. Since the spring is officially here (it was 70 degrees a few days ago!), it's time to break out the sandals and get a wonky and unique strap tan ASAP. Here are some great sandal picks for the springtime (and they might even carry over into the summer if you're lucky):

Zara Spring 2011

Honestly, I always thought that Zara in Europe was way better than Zara in the US but last week I stopped in the Zara Soho with my mom and was pleasantly surprised. So many nice dresses and trousers and blouses (basically everything). I wanted it all but it was so crowded in there (hello Soho on the weekend) I didn't want the hassle of waiting on line to try stuff on. HOWEVER- I will be going back soon. A lot of stuff was justtttt a little bit over the price point than I'm comfortable with but if I follow these guidelines than maybe I'll wait and invest in something special from Zara.

P.S. As you can probably tell I'm on an orange and tan combo kick.

I'm still working on my Fall RTW 2011 roundup but I promise my picks are coming soon. Eye candy galore, ya! In the mean time check out Azzara's favorites below.
