Splendid Sandals in the Springtime

So as much as I love heels, my disastrous balance and horrendous klutziness means I'm primarily a good ol' flats girl. Since the spring is officially here (it was 70 degrees a few days ago!), it's time to break out the sandals and get a wonky and unique strap tan ASAP. Business in the Front, Party in the Back

I love all these dresses that pack a punch in the back. You turn around and it's like WHAM BAM. Cutouts always add interesting detail when they're placed in the right spot, namely the back. I'm not about all those stomach and hip cutouts that I sometime see. EEK.

I'd wear any of these but esp. the floral tie-backs. Some of these are on sale so I'd snatch em up before they sell out. They'd be very good for spring otherwise you might get a little cold but nothing a good cardi can't solve.

Do The Polka (Dots!)

Anyone that knows me may be aware that I have a slight (read: super intense) obsession with polka dots. Every shop I go into on, I tend to gravitate towards the dazzling, cross-eye-inducing spots section. The other day, I even managed to wear a polka dot dress with polka dot tights without even realising (not out in public, don't worry!). Here are some of my favourite polka dot picks for spring (and maybe even one or two that will help you get through the end of a tedious winter):

Your Guide To Cyber Monday

Holiday shopping season is definitely underway. I bought a lot of exciting things this week that I can't wait to wear this winter, although I managed to avoid Black Friday like the plague (sounds like a disease, doesn't it). If you too were a little wary of Black Friday crowds (or eeeeven if you were brave), luckily for you Cyber Monday is rearing it's lovely head for more sales left and right. Modcloth is having their 'Tis The Season sale, which has soo many really fantastic bargains. I'm sort of obsessed with some of their dresses on sale. But then again, who hasn't been obsessed with something from Modcloth? Sale ends November 30 at 12:01AM, so get all your shopping done tomorrow!

Aaand a little bit of black... because black and gold do look so classy together. I'll always remember (gosh, I sound so old) the outfit I wore to some formal or other which consisted of a black strapless dress, black shoes, gold iridescent tights and a beautiful gold necklace given to me as a gift (don't you love it when gift-givers actually have great taste?). Anyway, the moral of the story is that I managed to maintain my slightly crazy, over-the-top style (gold sparkly tights, anyone?) while at the same time still looking reasonably elegant.
