Boston Aquarium Pt. II

Here are those jelly fish photos I promised.  Aren't they beautiful creatures?  It's something about the way they move so fluidly with their irridescent bodies.  Mesmerizing. Isn't the blue photo crazy?  I kind of can't believe I took it in a semi-dark room with my dinky iPhone and it came out like this.  I have a couple more videos that I may or may not share... check back sometime to find out.

Boston Aquarium Pt. I

Hello everyone!  It's definitely been awhile since I've written anything but I have a bunch of photos to show you and possibly even some videos coming up in pt. 11 hint hint


I went to Boston this weekend and one of the very cool things I got to do is hang out with Azzara where she works at the Boston Aquarium.  So many cool sea life happenings.  Creatures under the water truly are amazing, beautiful, and inspiring.  Visiting the aquarium brought back so many memories from similar trips in middle school and elementary school.  Side note: it made me want to go to the planetarium soon and see the star shows/projections (possible winter break goal?).  After my final critique this weekend hopefully I will have time to post more before spring semester starts in January.

Everyday Superhero

Hi guys, sorry I've been so MIA for weeks! Interning at the New England Aquarium has been so much fun, I seriously couldn't ask for anything better. Check out the marine mammal trainers' blog for some awesome pictures and videos of the new(-ish) sea lion pups Zoe and Sierra. How cute are they?! (& seriously, they're even cuter in person... so you should all come visit and see for yourself!)

Adventurin'

Hey ya'll! Sorry I've been so MIA recently. I've been visiting friends all around town (meaning in the North East) and it sure has been grand. Two weeks ago, Amanda and I took the trek up to Boston on the fancyschmancy Megabus to visit us some friends. We went to check out the SoWa market where I got my favourite ever lamb on a stick back in May, from the Silk Road BBQ cart. Gimme that! 

Food Food FOOD

I just got home from college (for the last time.. oh my goodness!) so I thought I'd post some of the fun thangs I've been up to the past few weeks before graduation. Two weeks ago I went to the SoWa market in Boston, and wandered around the farmer's market tasting every sample possible (honey, salmon paté, cheese, pesto... the list goes on). The food trucks were amazing too. I seriously think I had the best damn lamb skewer of all time from Silk Road BBQ.

Lots and lots of cooking has been occurring too, including a huge food fiesta last week with mustard-crusted chicken, rice pilaf, stir-fry beef n veggies and of course an overabundance of wine and cheese. Mah dear Caroline made a loaf of bread which I positively devoured with a touch of the honey bought at SoWA. We also decided to test out the crispy potato roast pinched from everyone's favourite Smitten Kitchen, adding in some garlic and green onions for good measure. I seriously want to eat it all over again.

Graduation was just as long and emotional as expected, but now it's time for summer in NYC. Horraaaay. Stay tuned for news of Amanda & Azzara's summer reunion, which will most definitely include food, fun and forking out money we don't have for shopping.
