Chihuly: Part 2
Yesterday I had the delightful opportunity to check out the Dale Chihuly exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. As Amanda mentioned a couple of weeks ago, the exhibit is called Chihuly: Through the Looking Glass and boy, it sure was amazing.
In one of the little blurbs about his work, Chihuly explained that the pieces are often not numbered so that they can be arranged uniquely for each space. Some of the pieces really were beautiful. It's interesting how glass retains so much movement because of the way it's blown. The placement of the lights was really something too, jus' look at those reflections. Sadly my iPhone camera was not the best at capturing every detail of the pieces, but check out the MFA website for more information. The exhibit is running until August 7th so if you happen to be in the area, be sure to check it out!
Ah, amazing right? It's even better in person. Check out more Chihuly here! Happy weekend! I'm off to the Cape for my last weekend as an undergrad so I will try and take some pictures weather-willing.
